What is jadewell?
jadewell is an online platform for Chinese Herbal Medicine. Take our quiz and get matched to a Signature Formula, a classical formula suited to your pattern, reviewed by a licensed herbalist and shipped to your door monthly. In select states, you can also work directly with a licensed practitioner who compounds a Custom Formula built for you and adjusts it over time.
Who is jadewell for?
jadewell is for those navigating chronic conditions such as pain, fatigue, mood disorders, or women's health problems who are seeking more than just prescriptions. Whether you're looking for a natural complement to your current treatment or exploring new options after conventional medicine has fallen short, jadewell offers relief rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy complementary to Western prescriptions.
Who are the practitioners at jadewell?
All Herbal Practitioners at jadewell are licensed through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the only national organization that validates entry-level competency in the practice of acupuncture and herbal medicine (AHM) through professional certification. Patients are paired with a licensed practitioner in their state for compliant care.
Where is jadewell available?
Signature Formulas ship to all 50 states. Custom Formulas, which involve working directly with a licensed practitioner, are currently available in Massachusetts, with more states coming soon.
Is jadewell covered by insurance?
Insurance does not cover herbal formulas. For Custom Formula members, we can provide a letter of medical necessity that may support HSA/FSA reimbursement. Signature Formula purchases are generally not HSA/FSA eligible; check with your plan administrator.
Where are jadewell herbal ingredients sourced from?
The ingredients we use are carefully researched and sourced to ensure that they are high quality. We source from facilities that comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). In addition to these major regulations, we also source from facilities that maintain compliance with lesser-known regulations, such as the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
How do I take my formula?
Signature Formulas come as tea pills in glass bottles, small concentrated herbal pills taken with water, no preparation needed. Custom Formulas come as concentrated granules in a reusable glass jar with a measuring spoon; stir spoonfuls into warm water. Your exact directions are included with every shipment.
